Kirmani's 'Dead Man's Shoes' makes Film4 shortlist

Just a few months ago, BizAsia reported British actor Armaan Kirmani’s trip to the Cannes Film Festival 2012 where his debut film as director, ‘Soulmates’, had been selected for the Short Film Corner.��Kirmani,��who made his acting debut in ‘Patiala House’ (2011), is��furthering his��film-making journey as his short film, ‘Dead Man’s Shoes’, has now been shortlisted in the Film4 Scene Stealers competition.

Kirmani joined hands with Hassan Khan for the inspired entry. Talking about the achievement, Kirmani told BizAsia, “We are happy to get recognition as British Asian actors by mainstream television channels in the UK. Film4 is the leader in film investment in the UK and we are honoured to have been recognised by them. We hope that this will lead to higher quality work for Asian performers in mainstream British cinema”.
