In rather great protest, actor Arjun Rampal has slashed rumours of him shifting his friendship from Shah Rukh Khan to Salman Khan and has also explained that he does not believe in the concept of being in someone’s ‘camp’.
It is well known that both Khans are not on the best of terms with each other, and as soon as any other name is linked with either of them, it always sparks up some controversy to add to the battle. Rampal was no different, although he was quick to make clear, as Times of India reported him stating, “First of all, I don’t believe in camps. I just don’t. I am friends with everyone. I know Salman Khansince my modeling days and I have a lot of respect for Shah Rukh Khan as well. But at the end of the day, wherever I go, whatever I do, I do it with my own ability. I don’t need any camps to be a part of.”
Rampal went on to explain how the rumour of his shift in friendship with both Khans started, “A journalist called me and asked me that I have heard, you will go to‘Bigg Boss’to promote your film! I said, if I need to promote my film there, then I will go to promote my film. On this context, they have filed a story saying that I have left Shah Rukh’s camp and entered Salman Khan’s camp. What rubbish.”
The actor has been associated with King Khan for many years, from the ‘Temptations’ tour in 2004 to working with him in films such as ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007) and ‘RA. One’ (2011). So when Rampal tweeted, “Killer first look’Ek Tha Tiger’(2012), wow, can’t wait to see this one.Awesome,” rumours were quick to add to the dispute.
