Arjun Kapoor to play a Haryanvi cop in next?

Arjun Kapoor who is currently in Chandigarh shooting for his upcoming next ‘Mubarakan’, has revealed that he is open to doing films of different genres, ranging from commercial to the unconventional.

According to Box Office India, news of this reached Dibakar Banerjee and he quickly took the opportunity to ask Kapoor if he’d like to be in his next, to which Kapoor reportedly agreed following a narration. The character will see the ‘Ki & Ka’ (2016) actor play a Haryanvi cop.

A source close to Kapoor said, “Dibakar’s film demands Arjun to play a Haryanvi cop and Arjun loved his character and also the film. It’s a dark thriller set in North India. Arjun has said yes to Banerjee but the latter is yet to finish the final draft of the script.”

The film will be produced by Yash Raj Films and shooting is slated to commence in winter next year with a shooting schedule of 60 days. Banerjee is still looking for two more leads for the film.
