Arjun Kapoor says ‘Half Girlfriend’ is a romantic journey

Arjun Kapoor may be gearing up for his next film ��Ki and Ka�۪ but he�۪s also set to play male lead in ��Half Girlfriend�۪, which will be the second time he�۪s stepping into an on screen adaptation of a Chetan Bhagat novel.

Talking about the film, Kapoor told IANS, ���There is pathos and drama in ��Half Girlfriend�۪. It�۪s not just a frivolous rom-com (romantic-comedy). It�۪s a drama. That film has a journey. It�۪s a romantic journey and for me that is very exciting�۝.

He went on to say, ���I have never done film where there is a rise and fall in love of a boy. If anybody has read the book, then they must be aware of the journey of Madhav Jha. In the film there is a time lapse (of about) seven-eight years between the beginning of the film and the end of the film�۝.

Kapoor also said that he doesn�۪t plan on reading the novel before shooting for the film, in which he�۪ll be sharing the screen with Shraddha Kapoor.
