After the under-performance of his last release ‘Tevar’ (2015) at the box office, along with the much-spoken about ‘AIB Roast’ controversy, Arjun Kapoor seemed to be keeping a low profile in the following months. However, the actor denies consciously hiding from the media.

Speaking toAsian Age, Kapoor said, “I wasn۪t really hiding from the media. In fact, I was present at the media events of ‘Badlapur’ and ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’… The focus during the success party of ‘Badlapur’ was Varun Dhawan… and later during the screening of ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, I was there for Ayushmann Khurrana…It was their moment of victory and I didn۪t want to step in at the wrong time.”

On the ‘AIB Roast’ controversy, Kapoor said both he and Ranveer Singh were affected by the strong reactions, especially as some people conveniently overlooked the fact that the money raised from the event was for a charitable cause.

Kapoor has recently enjoyed a one-month break in Goa with family and friends. He is enjoying his time off by relaxing and working out, while also gearing up for his next project which isa Yash Raj Films production.
