Arjun Kapoor will next be seen romancing Kareena Kapoor Khan for the first time, in R. Balki’s ‘Ki and Ka’. This willbe his only release after his ‘Tevar’ (2015) debacle. He had back to back releases in 2015, and Kapoor admits that he does get bored of seeing himself too often.
In an interview with the New Indian Express, Kapoor said, “I get bored of seeing myself too often. Just three months before Tevar, you had seen me in a film and two months before in another film. Within a span of a year I had delivered four films which were not right, it saturates the audience.”
With ‘Ki and Ka’, Kapoor says that they are trying to break the stereotypical differentiation between men and women, and that he and the younger generation of stars are experimenting. Kapoor said, “Yes, we are experimenting. I did Finding Fanny, Varun Dhawan did Badlapur, Ranveer Singh took a risk with Bajirao Mastani, and Ranbir Kapoor did Barfi. I think every actor has pushed the envelope. Through Ki and Ka, were are trying to break the stereotype-we believe that both men and women should be allowed to make choices. I hope Ki and Ka gets love and support from everybody because it’s a relevant film.”
‘Ki and Ka’ is slated for an 1st April release.
