Arjun Kapoor forces ‘Half Girlfriend’ Shraddha Kapoor to rest
Shraddha Kapoor has had to cancel her participation in the promotions for her upcoming film ‘Half Girlfriend’ due to illness. Kapoor is battling a cold and is currently bed-ridden to try and recover.
Both Kapoor and co-star Arjun Kapoor are on a promotional spree at present as the release of their film approaches. The PR campaign certainly seems to be working as the hype for the film is starting to reach high excitement levels. However, it seems the aggressive strategy coupled with the heat has taken a toll on the female lead.
Deccan Chronicle reported it was her co-star Kapoor that forced her to take a step back and recuperate. “She is recovering from a nagging spell of cold and cough. On Tuesday, she had interviews with TV channels lined up. But when she reached the venue, everyone got concerned over how pale she looked. Post noon, she began feeling uneasy, but insisted on going ahead with her commitments. When Arjun heard of this, he convinced her to call it a day”, said a source.
Kapoor herself confirmed it was indeed at the behest of her co-star that she listened. “Arjun practically forced me to go back home because I was feeling unwell. I had initially thought I would make it through the day, but he was right; I needed to rest it out. It was a sweet gesture on his part.”
Here’s hoping the actress makes a speedy recovery and we see her back soon on the promotional trail.
‘Half Girlfriend’ is scheduled to release on 19th May.
