Arjun Kapoor finalised as Lakhan in ‘Ram Lakhan’ remake?

When it emerged that Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar were looking at remaking the cult classic that is ‘Ram Lakhan’ (1989), speculation was immediately on who would play the roles essayed by Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff in the original. Whilst Ranbir Kapoor’s name was associated to Lakhan’s role in media reports, it seems the makers have actually finalised another Kapoor for the part; Arjun Kapoor.

It seems Arjun has signed on the dotted line to play Lakhan and it seems he is the perfect fit because his resemblance to uncle Anil who was in the 1989 film will no doubt be great for the audiences to be taken back to the memorable classic. Johar has expressed that he would like to bring Varun Dhawan in to star with Arjun put it seems the search for an actor to play Ram is still ongoing.

Arjun is currently busy with the upcoming ‘Finding Fanny’ in which he stars with Deepika Padukone, Pankaj Kapur, Dimple Kapadia and Naseeruddin Shah.
