After much speculation, it was recently reported that Shraddha Kapoor has bagged female lead in Mohit Suri directed ‘Half Girlfriend’. Now, it’s been confirmed that she will be seen romancing none other than Arjun Kapoor in the film. Arjun has already been prepping for the role.
Kapoor’s spokesperson confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror, “Yes, Arjun is doing Half Girlfriend. He has been quietly prepping for the film ever since he returned from Argentina”. The actor has been in Buenos Aires shooting for ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, which he is hosting. However, ever since his return, he’s been getting prepared for ‘Half Girlfriend’.
A source further commented, “Half Girlfriend is a quintessential Bollywood love story about unrequited love in which the boy chases the girl across different countries over time. Arjun has several different looks in the film as he ages from a teenager to an aged founder of a school. He has been prepping up diligently”.
‘Half Girlfriend’ will mark the second film that Arjun is starring in which is an on-screen adaptation of a Chetan Bhagat novel. He starred in and was appreciated for his performance in ‘2 States’ in 2014.
