Arijit Singh locks script for directorial debut

It’s been almost a year since BizAsia reported the news that award-winning playback singer Arijit Singh may be directing a film. Now, it’s thought that Singh has finalised the script of the film and is already looking at taking the next steps.

A source spoke to Box Office India, “It�۪s a musical film based on a musician�۪s life. He has approached a few actors who can also sing in real life and, soon, auditions will start happening.”

The film is expected to roll at the end of 2016 and Singh is already talking to a musical production house to come on board.
