Apoorva Lakhia rubbishes casting Rani Mukerji in ‘Haseena’

Recently, reports were doing the rounds that Apoorva Lakhia was getting set to make ‘Haseena’, a film about Dawood Ibrahim’s sister. However, Lakhia has gone on record to rubbish the news that he has cast Rani Mukerji in the lead role.

Lakhia has spoken to Bollywood Hungama, “Rani is losing weight for a role that I haven’t offered her? I am supposed to have decided on Rani to play Haseena, when I haven’t even decided whether I can make a film on the concerned lady or not”.

“While I am yet to sort out the issues regarding the project, Rani is supposed to have started putting on weight for the role. I suggest those who write such things better know a good dietitian to reverse the damage,” continues Lakhia. There have been reports too that Haseena Parkar’s family have wanted to take creative control of the film and Lakhia is not willing to give this.

A friend of Mukerji’s has also said that the actress plans to start a family this year and will therefore not be signing any projects anytime soon.
