Aparshakti Khurana on following brother Ayushmann’s footsteps

From being an aspiring cricketer, to working in radio and now an actor, Aparshakti Khurana’s journey has gone down the exact same road as his brother Ayushmann. However, this is not how he had planned it, and it wasn’t a snap decision to change careers either. The new actor recently spoke to the media about how he joined films, whilst looking at his brother.

“It wasn’t an overnight decision to follow his footsteps. It took a lot of time to understand what he was doing. It required a lot of hard work a lot of hard work passion and energy to prepare myself to do what he was doing because I came from a completely different school of thought,” Pinkvilla reports the actor stating.

He went on to say, “The best part about this journey was that all of this would not have happened (referring to his professional life) if we would have just been the star brother duo. We rather discussed how to take small steps towards a creative field and hence, radio and theatre started. With theatre, music started and that took a lot of time. That is why I will not say that I started following him blindly, I think I started following his creative sensibilities and started working towards my creative sensibilities to reach where I am today.”

After he was appreciated for his stint in ‘Stree’ (2018), Khurana is currently shooting for ‘Luka Chuppi’, as well as a project opposite Parineeti Chopra.
