Her debut as a producer with ‘NH10’ (2015) proved that she has a lot more to offer than just her on screen appearances. So it comes to no surprise that Anushka Sharma has set herself a few goals, as she goes down the path as a film maker, starting with the types of stories shewants to represent.

Having also starred in the film,Hindustan Timesreported Sharma expressing what made her choose ‘NH10’ in the first place, “When I read the script it was like any other film I did. It excited me so much that I wanted to make sure that it happened. I think it is a wonderful process of transformation from an actress to a producer.”

“In future also we would like to back films that can be considered slightly risky since they don’t have song and dance,” she went onto explain.

With the Indian film industry broadening the horizon of the subjects that they portray, it seems Sharma’s decision in making such films couldn’t have come at a better time. However, despite really enjoying her new found job role, her acting career is still very much on the forefront of her career. “For me as an actor it is brilliant that I can do both song-dance films and also something like NH10. It is versatility which every actor aspires.”

Sticking to the subject of versatility, Sharma will next been seen on screen playing quiet an outrageous character in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

Here’s hoping Sharma’s love for film making in any which way continues to grow, and her dreams of making different kinds of films continues to be applauded.
