Anushka Sharma races ahead of her contemporaries

They say slow and steady wins the race. And Anushka Sharma seems like she’s definitely aware of this age old saying. The Yash Raj prot̩g̩ who made her debut a little over three years ago, is suddenly sitting pretty on the top of the heap with a bunch of plum offers with the Khans and the Kapoors.

We don�۪t know whether it was a game plan or simply luck, but by refusing to sign every inconsequential role that came her way, Sharma seems to have a lot of bets placed on her in the next couple of years.

“The odds are stacked in Anushka’s favour. 2013 will see the big girls battling it out. Kat has ��Dhoom 3′, Priyanka has ‘Krrish-3’, while Deepika will have ‘Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Chennai Express’, but bookies have their bets on Anushka because from Diwali 2012 to mid-2014, she has some crackerjack projects releasing,�۪ said a top trade analyst to the Times of India.

And looking at the situation it seems like he�۪s right too. Apart from Yash Chopra�۪s untitled film (with SRK & Katrina), Anushka also has Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’��(with Imran Khan), ��Bombay Velvet�۪ (with Ranbir) and the latest is that Rajkumar Hirani is considering her for his ambitious ��PK�۪ (with Aamir), and that too over Kareena Kapoor.

At this rate, Anushka who seems to have youth, looks and talent as her trump cards, is bound to give her contemporaries many a sleepless night. Good going Anushka!
