Anushka Sharma, who was last seen in Navdeep Singh’s ‘NH10’ (2015), is excited about the release of Zoya Akhtar ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. The film marks the first time Sharmais working with a female director and she considers herself, and costar Priyanka Chopra, very lucky to have worked with Akhtar.
Speaking toAbsolute India, Sharma said, “It’s great working with a female director. Women understand women. Also, Zoya presents women in a very different way. She looks the way the women look at women and that’s a big thing being an actress. Priyanka and I are undoubtedly very lucky as we are presented by Zoya. Her understanding of relationships is brilliant.”
Sharma is currently busy juggling promotions for both her upcoming films: ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’.
‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ stars Sharma and Chopra alongside Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh. The film releases worldwide on 5th June.
