Anushka Sharma gets support after slamming Farokh Engineer’s comments

Anushka Sharma has hit back at comments made by former India wicket keeper, Farokh Engineer, who said that BCCI selectors were “getting her cups of tea” during a World Cup match in England and Wales earlier this year. Since then, Sharma has received immense support from her industry friends about how she has dealt with the comments.

Taking to social media site Twitter, the likes of Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Kajal Aggarwal and Badshah wrote comments of support. Kapoor stated, “She hits it out f the park massive strike huge hit it’s outta here !!!”.

“Hahahaha! hard hard … Diyela hai …” Was Singh’s tweet, and Aggarwal stated, “More power time you.”

Since Sharma’s statement, Engineer apologised for his comments stating they were said in haste. This isn’t the first time Sharma has been targeted as a reason for the cricket team captain, husband Virat Kohli’s poor performance, and it doesn’t seem like it will be the last. However Sharma has always been one to stand up for herself and put all these allegations in their place.
