Imtiaz Ali’s last film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ (2017) saw him direct Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. The film didn’t do too well, gathering mixed responses from the audiences. Sharma has since spoke about its failure.
Sharma is thought to have accepted the film’s fate and is happy to be moving on to her next projects. Bombay Times reports her stating, “You want all films to do well, you want people to like your film. But that’s not the case every time. It’s something that you need to be aware of and mindful of and I am. I don’t have unrealistic expectations of myself as an actor”.
She further added, “It’s the audience who decides the fate of your films and I respect that. And every time you learn something new from all your films. I completely own my success. I have many successful films in my credit. So, I have accepted the average response to my films”.
Sharma will be seen next in ‘Pari’ and ‘Sui Dhaaga’.
