Anushka on cameo role in Dutt biopic

Anushka Sharma has confirmed that she will be playing a cameo in the much talked about Sanjay Dutt biopic, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani.

Elaborating on her role in the film, Sharma said it was not based on “any living person”.

She denied rumours that she was playing a journalist or his girlfriend in the film. She was cited in Deccan Chronicle saying, “I am doing a cameo in the film but you all should be very excited for it. It will be a very good film. I am not playing his girlfriend, or a journalist, my character is the only fictional character in the film. It is not based on any living person that much I can tell.”

Sharma is currently in the midst of promotions for her latest release ‘Phillauri’.
