Anushka Asthana joins Channel 4 News as US Editor
Channel 4 News has announced the appointment of Anushka Asthana as its new US Editor. She will be based in Washington DC, where she will lead the broadcaster’s coverage of American politics and current affairs across its platforms.
Asthana joins from ITV News, where she has served as Deputy Political Editor since 2021. Her career spans multiple major news outlets, including roles at The Guardian, Sky News, The Times, The Observer, and the Washington Post. She is also known to UK audiences for co-hosting Peston on ITV and previously presenting BBC Radio 4’s Week in Westminster.
