Anurag Kashyap apologises for Dilip Kumar tweet

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has apologised to Dilip Kumar for sending an incorrect tweet about the legend, who has been in hospital since last weekend.

Kashyap tweeted his sympathy message on hearing about Kumar’s “death”, before rectifying his mistake. Subsequently he deleted that tweet and said, “Apologies for the Dilip Saab tweet… I panicked because of three back to back messages, he is fine and the news is not true.”

Kumar’s wife Saira Banu said Kumar was on the road to recovery and people should stop spreading such rumours, “He has to overcome the problem and it will take some time. But he is recovering. This morning he got up and had tea. He needs to rest. I thank all the fans and well wishers for their prayers and request them to continue with it.”

Kumar is recovering after suffering a heart attached on Sunday.
