Anurag Basu ready to make Kishore Kumar biopic without Ranbir Kapoor

Together they have made some of the industry’s most memorable movies, so it’s no surprise that filmmaker Anurag Basu would prefer to have Ranbir Kapoor as a part of his Kishore Kumar biopic venture. However it seem the actor may be busy and the director won’t be able to wait.

“I  don’t want to wait for too long for the film, so if Ranbir can’t give dates this year then I will go with someone else (another actor),” Times of India reports Basu expressing.

Rumours were rife that the film has been shelved, however putting these rumours to rest, Basu explained, “It (biopic on Kishore Kumar) is not shelved. I don’t know with whom I will make and when exactly. After Sanjay Dutt biopic Ranbir will be busy with his another film ‘Dragon’.”

The report goes on to state how the Basu is planning on getting the film on schedule by the end of the year.

In the meantime Basu is gearing up for the promotions of his forthcoming film ‘Jagga Jasoos’. Starring Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, the film is set to hit the big screens on 14th July.
