Anupam Kher confirms family including mother tests coronavirus positive

Bollywood veteran, Anupam Kher has revealed that his family members, including mother Dulari, have tested positive for coronavirus. He however, has tested negative.

Taking to Twitter today, the 65-year-old actor said that while his mother had mild symptoms, she had been admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital as precautionary. Other family members who have tested positive but quarantining at home include his brother Raju and Raju’s wife and niece.

Anupam Kher said, “This is to inform all that my mother Dulari is found COVID-19 positive (mildly). We have admitted her into Kokilaben Hospital. My brother, bhabhi and niece, in spite of being careful, have also tested mildly positive. I got myself tested as well and I have tested negative. The BMC is informed.”

The news comes a day after it was confirmed Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have tested positive for coronavirus. They are quarantining at Nanavati Hospital. It was also confirmed earlier that tests results for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aardhya Bachchan, also came back positive.

Television star, Parth Samthaan, who plays Anurag Basu in ‘Kasautii Zinagii Kay’ also tested positive for the illness. The shoot of the Star Plus show has been halted due to the news.
