Anubhav Sinha casts Juhi Chawla with Madhuri Dixit

It looks like audiences will have even more to��get excited about than before��for the upcoming Madhuri Dixit-Nene starrer ‘Gulab Gang’, as news has it that filmmaker, Anubhav Sinha, has apparently roped in Juhi Chawla to play a role.

Very rarely do filmmakers cast iconic actresses alongside each other, and after all these years of Dixit-Nene��and Chawla being in the industry, it’s Sinha who has managed to��bring them together. NDTV��reports the producer confirming, “Actually, there were two reasons to cast Juhi Chawla for the film. The very first thing was that it was a creative decision taken by all of us and we thought it would be great to see two iconic stars – Madhuri and Juhi – together in the film.��I couldn’t have pulled off a better cast than the two most iconic female stars, Madhuri and Juhi, together for the first time on Indian screen.”

Directed by Soumik Sen, the film is based on the women’s rights group (of the same name as the film title) in Uttar Pradesh. Talking about the look for both actresses, Sinha goes on to add, “We were working on the looks of the actresses, now we are ready to roll. Since the film is based in rural India, both of them will be seen in a de-glam avatar and will have a rustic look.”

The film had been planned to release on 8th March 2013, however has been delayed for a later date.
