‘Antakshari’ to spruce up Sony SAB TV weekends

Sony SAB TV has confirmed the launch date of popular gameshow ‘Family Antakshari’, which begins on the channel this month.

As revealed last week on BizAsia, Gajendra Singh, who was behind the original series that aired on ZEE TV, followed by Star Plus, is working on the show�۪s concept.

A source told TelevisionPost, ���SAB has been airing repeats on weekends for quite some time now. The channel now wants to build its weekends by launching new shows and this is a step in that direction. Earlier, it had shifted its popular show ��FIR�۪ to the weekends, which received good response from the viewers.�۝

The musical gameshow will mark the return of Anu Kapoor who will act as a judge in the show. The comical duo Mantra and Sugandha Mishra will be the anchor of the TV series, which is produced by Gajendra Singh of Saai Baba Productions.

‘Family Antakshari’ will air on weekends on Sony SAB TV, starting Saturday 27th September at 20:00.
