ZEE TV is on a rampage to spruce up its primetime programming line-up, with the likes of ‘Teen Bahuraniyan’, ‘Kasamh Se’, ‘Rakhi’, ‘Parivaar’ and ‘Maa’ being axed in recent months.
The latest to face the chop is the long running ‘Saat Phere’, which is likely to end in the last week of May, according to TellyChakkar.
Informs a source from Sphere Origin, “Though we have not been informed officially but we are hearing from people in the production house that the show is ending by the month end.”
A source from Balaji told TellyChakkar, “When Kasamh Se ended, it was decided then that Balaji۪s new show will take the same 21:00 slot. Since there was a gap between the two shows, ZEE TV shuffled its shows and changed the timings of its existing show thus getting Saat Phere to air in place of Kasamh Se. Now that Balaji۪s second show is ready, it will air at 21:00 from 25th May.”
There has been speculation that another ailing show – ‘Banoo Mein Teri Dulhann’ will also be ending at the end of this month. It was reported earlier that Ekta Kapoor’s show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ will be replacing ‘Dulhann’. A confirmation from the channel is currently being awaited.
