Ankit Tiwari, as reported by BizAsia, had the discharge plea on his rape case rejected in June. The singer-composer says he will keep fighting to prove he is innocent.

Talking to Filmfare, Tiwari commented, “Nothing good about me ever gets printed…”

Tiwari’s brother Ankur was also arrested in the same case. He adds, “The media reported when there was a non-bailable warrant against Ankit. But how many people know what does that term even means? That sort of headline and jargon is terrifying for common people. The terminology meant that Ankit needs to be available for his next hearing on court. That۪s about it.Our discharge plea got rejected means the court has said they cannot discharge the case just yet but they will try. It doesn۪t mean the court has given a verdict that Ankit is a criminal”.

Tiwari rose to fame with his songs in 2013’s ‘Aashiqui 2’.
