Ankit Tiwari composes ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahaani’ album for free

After the great success of Ankit Tiwari’s Sunn Raha Hai Na Tu in ‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013) and, more recently, Galliyan from ‘Ek Villain’ (2014), the composer is currently hot property. So, it will come as a surprise to many that he is giving his compositions to Mohit Suri’s next ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahaani’ with no charge.

“Mohit has begun prepping up for Hamari Adhuri Kahaani which rolls in September. Since the Ek Villain track is a huge hit, he approached Ankit, telling him he wanted something special for this Emraan Hashmi-Vidya Balan love story which also stars Rajkummar Rao,” revealed a source to Mumbai Mirror.

The source continued, “He’s been meaning to gift Mohit something for his recent success and what better gift than this. He’s grateful to him for standing by him through a personal crisis (Ankit was jailed on a rape charge)”.

The music director confirmed the news as well, “Mohit is a dear friend and I’m doing the music of Hamari Adhuri Kahaani purely as a sign of gratitude. It’s a beautiful script steeped in melancholy. It fits my music like a glove”.

It really seems that Tiwari is grateful for the director’s support and what a way he has of showing that.
