Anjana Sukhani miffed with Ram Gopal Varma

Ram Gopal Verma has a bit of a reputation, be it with his films or his personal life. The latest in his line of fire, so to speak, is Anjana Sukhani, who seems to be miffed with the director for not including her in the promotional activity for �ʉ�Department�۪ which released last week.

The Times of India reports that the actress expressed her displeasure when even though her role was more significant than Nathalia Kaur who’s merely there for ��an item number in the film, got more coverage than Sukhani herself.

���No doubt, it’s Ramu sir’s film and he has to take the final call on how he wants to promote the film. But, I’m also a part of the film… playing Rana Daggubati’s wife. So, why discard me from the publicity drive? I have no problem with Nathalia Kaur being publicised as she adds glamour to the film, but I’m upset with RGV for keeping me away from the promotional activities,” said Sukhani in an interview.

���Department�۪ which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati��has had a poor response both critically and commercially and has crashed at the box office.

Sukhani herself has been struggling with her career in Bollywood. When talking about her experiences in the film industry, she expressed how she wanted to land lead roles in big films, and is aware that she still has a lot to achieve; ���I would love to do more if anything good comes my way… I’m just going to wait and let things happen.�۝
