Anita Rani says race & class attribute to BBC pay gap

BBC presenter, Anita Rani has spoken about the ongoing pay gap controversy at the corporation.

She says, as well as gender, it is all about race and class when it comes to a divide in they way people are paid at the BBC.

Cited on BBC News, she said, “It’s difficult for everybody but, for me, as much as it’s about gender I think it’s about race and it’s about class.”

She added, “I think this is the beginning of a big shift and a change, which is a good thing.”

In July, the BBC published names of stars, who are paid more than £150,000 as part of its annual report.
