Anita Hassanandani on ‘YHM’ going off-air: “Every good thing must come to an end”

After months of rumours, it seems the latest speculation about Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ going off-air is ringing true.

Anita Hassanandani, who plays Shagun, has given the strongest hint yet that the show could be phased out in the coming weeks. It is rumoured the popular show, which has been on-air for six years, will end in April. She was cited in IWM Buzz saying, “I guess this Ekta Kapoor production has completed its beautiful course. Running for six years is no walk in the park. One big thing that kept us going, apart from a good story, was the great positive equation and vibes we main actors shared with each other. Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel are superb individuals to boot.”

Asked if she felt sad about the show ending, Hassanandani said, “A little bit, as I am so attached to YHM. But again, every good thing must come to an end. I am looking for something fresh in the fiction space.”
