Animated ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ awaits Aamir Khan’s approval

The 3D animated version of the multi-starrer ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ (1994) is all set and producer Siddharth Jain has roped in Raveena Tandon, Salman Khan, and Shakti Kapoor to be the voices of their characters. The one person he awaits a response from is Aamir Khan.

As quoted my Mid-Day, Jain revealed, “I�۪ll need them only later this August-September and I’m sure of them agreeing to dub for their characters. The only person I’ll have to try harder for is Aamir.” Jain went on to say that he would hope to show the film to Aamir Khan first.

The new version, with a budget of Rs 15 crore, will be targeted at both adults and children. Jain hopes to tap into the love that the adults have for the movie and hopes that it will appeal to the younger crowd too because of it’s 3D animation. He states, “While we’re also focusing on the animation, to ensure that it�۪s good enough, we know that people will be coming in expecting the humour at par with the original”.
