Anil Kapoor is reportedly eyeing the digital market by turning producer for a Netflix show.
According to The Asian Age, Kapoor is said to have held talks with UK based company, Seven Stories about the project. Directors Sharon Maguire and Anand Tucker signed a deal with Netflix last year for a series based on the Selection Day and are keen to get Kapoor on board. The book is said to be based on corruption that takes place in cricket.
A source told the publication, “Anil has also acquired the rights of the sitcom Modern Family to be made as a TV series. He is keen to collaborate not just on Selection Day but on another series called Again which is a female-based detective series on the lines of Criminal Minds. But things haven’t been locked yet. It is not clear if Anil will act in any of them as well.”
