Anil Kapoor: “Harshvardhan got ‘Mirzya’ on his own”

Owing to the fact that many Bollywood star’s children tend to follow their parents footsteps into the industry, their personal struggle is often seem as non-existent. ��As Anil Kapoor’s son, Harshvardhan, gears up for his debut in��’Mirzya’, the proud father had clarified that Harshvardhan bagged ‘Mirzya’ on his own.

DNA India quote Anil as having said, at the film’s music launch, “I know people are apprehensive about star sons. But I can assure you, whatever he has done today, he has done it on his own. He got the film on his own. Absolutely. He believes he is different. Don’t expect anything from him that we did. That’s his strength. Rakeysh (Omprakash Mehra) spotted him, groomed him and the entire team has made him Mirzya today.”

Anil went on to request the media and his colleagues to shower the same love on his son as they have on him for so many years.

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, ‘Mirzya’ marks not only Harshvardhan’s debut but also the debut of Shabana Azmi’s niece, Saiyami Kher. The film releases on 7th October.
