Angry Sonam Kapoor slams ‘Khoobsurat’ “plagiarism” allegations
Just hours after the theatrical trailer of ‘Khoobsurat’ was released, Sonam Kapoor has angrily slammed newspaper reports that said a song featuring in the trailer was copied from an Anu Malik number.
A daily newspaper alleged that ��Anjan ki seeti mein maro man dole�۪ was a song originally composed by Malik for ‘Maa’, which starred Jeetendra and Jaya Pradha. However Kapoor said that the song is in fact a traditional Rajasthani folk song and not a copy of any song.
She went on Twitter to put the record straight, ���It�۪s a pity you don�۪t do research before writing articles, ��Anjun ki seeti�۪ is an old Rajasthani folk song! It�۪s a pity journalists��_write articles without an iota of responsibility. A few bad apples really spoil the basket.�
Singer Sona Mohaputra backed Kapoor’s tweet, she said, ���Anjan ki seeti mein maro man dole is a traditional Rajasthani folk song and not an Anu Malik song and it�۪s expected that a paper should research such facts before taking Any Malik or the internet seriously.�
