Anees Bazmee on working with Salman Khan “soon”

Anees Bazmee is back again with another comedy in ‘Pagalpanti.’ It is an ensemble cast comedy movie that stars John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz, Pulkit Samrat, Arshad Warsi, Kriti Kharbanda, Urvashi Rautela, and Saurabh Shukla.

Bazmee is known for making comedies like ‘No Entry’ (2005) and ‘Singh Is Kinng’ (2008) to name a few. The director says he always feels like doing a clean comedy and doesn’t support vulgarity. He believes that “the humour should come out of the situation, even a serious one, like the cliff-hanger climax of Welcome with 25 people hanging on to dear life.”

Bazmee is also showing the comic side of Abraham. Usually, the star is considered to be a serious actor who majorly works in the action genre, reports Bollywood Life. When asked how did he tap the comic side of the action hero, Bazmee replied, “John wanted to explore comedy for a while, the audience will be surprised to see him in a non-action avatar which will get the laughs.”

Talking about ‘Pagalpanti,’ the cast and crew have already decided that they would make a sequel to the film whilst shooting the current one. That led to the question about a sequel to ‘No Entry’ – which has been rumoured for a very long time. Bazmee explained that he is waiting for the script to be green-lit by producer Boney Kapoor. Talking about working with Salman Khan, Bazmee told Mumbai Mirror, “I have a great equation with Salman (Khan, the film’s leading man) who is simple, honest and down-to-earth; ‘Dil Khan’ who will go all out if he likes you. I met him recently, God willing, we will work together again, very soon.”

After ‘Pagalpanti,’ Anees has ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ lined up which is a sequel to 2007’s hit starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, and Ameesha Patel among others.
