As Shiney Ahuja makes a comeback in Anees Bazmee’s ‘Welcome Back’,audiences have had a mixed reaction with the actor coming back on screen. However, this was one thing director Bazmee didn’t even think about.
Ahuja moved away from the industry for a while after he was accused of rape by his maid. Talking to the media, Bazmee expressed how the actor’s personal life hadn’t even crossed his mind. “I do not know anything more than movie making. I thought that in the film I need him (Shiney) and he can do justice to the role. Apart from that I did not think about anything else,”Times of India reported the film maker stating.
“I do not know anything more than movie making. I thought that in the film I need him (Shiney) and he can do justice to the role. Apart from that I did not think about anything else,” he went onto add.
With the promotions of the movie getting underway, Ahuja hasn’t been able to be a part of them yet, as Bazmee explained, “When we started the promotions, Shiney was not in India. He was out and he just came back. Shiney is doing his level best to promote the film. But I think that the planning for the movie promotions are done by the producer and the promotional team they decide.”
Also starring Anil Kapoor, Nana Pathakar, John Abraham, Shruti Haasan and Naseeruddin Shah, ‘Welcome Back’ plays as sequel to the 2007 Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Welcome’.
