Ananya Panday on competition in Bollywood: “The more, the merrier”

Every year, industry kids and newcomers make their way into Bollywood with a dream to make it big in the film industry, and, of course, to face endless comparison and competition. However, Ananya Panday, recently launched in Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year 2,’ is not bothered by the competition. In fact, she loves it.

Panday feels the competition would be cutthroat and that’s even better. “I feel the more, the merrier. What’s the point of working if there is no competition? You work hard only when there is competition or else you tend to take things lightly,” she says.

The last year saw industry kids Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Ishaan Khatter in major acting roles, reports Hindustan Times. There are also reports of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan making her film debut soon. Meanwhile, Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor has already began working as assistant director on cousin Janhvi Kapoor’s next film.
