Amy Jackson opts out of ‘Queen’ remake

Kangna Ranaut’s ‘Queen’ (2014) took the box office and audience by storm, garnering accolades from critics and audiences alike. The film is all set to be remade in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. While there have been casting issues with these remakes,  Amy Jackson was to play Lisa Haydon’s role from the original. Now, Jackson has also opted out of the film owing to “date issues.”

Jackson told DNA, “I really wanted to be a part of the project. It’s a fun, fierce role. I loved Lisa’s role in the Hindi version and thought I could do justice to it for the remake. It didn’t work out because of the schedule for Supergirl. It didn’t work out creatively.”

Jackson will next be seen in ‘2.0’ with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar.
