Amrita Tanna steps down as BizAsia Director & Senior Editor
BizAsiaLive.com’s long-standing Showbiz Senior Editor Amrita Tanna has stepped down from her role after 11 years at the helm.
In 2019, Tanna was also appointed company director for BizAsiaLive.com.
Tanna leaves with best wishes and admiration from everyone at BizAsiaLive.com for her dedication and hard work.
Tanna joined BizAsiaLive.com back in 2012 to enhance the popular website’s entertainment content, which up until then was focussed purely on media news and features. Since then, the online portal has grown as one of the leading Asian entertainment websites in the UK with Media, Entertainment, Music and Brit-Asian news and furthermore coverage of UK events.
Tanna’s work at BizAsia includes interviewing Arijit Singh in 2018, iinterview with Amit Sadh in London, interviewing Sonu Nigam in London, interview with Kajol to speak about ‘Helicopter Eela’, Saif Ali Khan to discuss ‘Sacred Games’, Amrita visited the IIFA’s in 2016 – Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh and Fawad Khan talk to BizAsia at the IIFA green carpet. Tanna also interview Farhan Akhtar in London. Nakuul Mehta spoke to Amrita Tanna at AVTA 2017.
Tanna has led her showbiz team astoundingly and amongst the hard work has helped achieve many awards for BizAsia during her tenure.

Tanna has expressed her gratitude for the opportunity at working at BizAsia: “After a glorious 11 years (almost), the time has come for me to bid adieu to BizAsia – both as Director and as Senior Editor. I always wanted to write for a UK based website when I first started out and when I was approached to head up showbiz for BizAsia, it felt like something I manifested into reality. In all the years I’ve been able to take up the growing opportunities that came our way, I’ve never once taken them for granted and I know it’s been our collective hard work that they were a result of. I was even more honoured to have been given a directorship around 4 years ago and being the first female director at the company was something really special.”
“It’s been so great to see the website flourish in my time there, with all the various team members that came and went. I can’t deny that it was hard work but it was also a lot of fun. I will miss the team and my colleagues Raj & Lakh who trusted me all these years. I’ve had a privileged position and been a part of many great events and also met some very well-known names. It’s been an absolute pleasure but it’s time for a new beginning. I wish BizAsia all the very best for the future. I know it’ll continue to grow in a positive way after my departure,” she adds.

Tanna has recently announced the launch of her new podcast called ‘Voice It Out’ – hosted by Tanna and Shyama Sudra Doshi.
