Amrit Vela Radio helps raise funds for Golden Temple

Religious station Amrit Vela Radio with the help of its listeners have helped raise over �50,000 for the Golden Temple.

For the last six months, the station, which broadcasts seven days a week on the internet and digital radio has been collecting funds for a new sound system at the Sikh temple in Amritsar, India.

A cheque of �51,000 was presented by producer and presenter Lucky Dhillon to the Golden Temple board.

A total of �125,000 is required to achieve the target.
