Amitabh Bachchan’s health takes its toll after wrapping up ‘KBC 9’

Despite ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 9’ emerging as India’s most watched show over recent weeks, host Amitabh Bachchan’s health has taken its toll with his vocal chords being infected.

The series, which will bow out next month, is expected to return next year on Sony Entertainment Television. Bachchan filmed the final episode of the current series on Monday.

He took to his blog to talk about his health on Sunday. He wrote, “… the constant talking for the past month for KBC has infected my vocal chords and now with throat pain and swallowing problems, am on antibiotics and pain killers to be able to work tomorrow the entire day for the FINALE of the KBC season 9.”
