Amitabh Bachchan turns producer for Gujarati film

As more B-town bodies decide on a slight career change, another actor stepping on the bandwagon is Amitabh Bachchan. However, news has it that he’s stirring in a slightly different direction. Rumour has it, that the actor is turning to producing for a Gujarati film.

The film which will star Paresh Rawal’s wife Swaroop Sampat and Manav Gohil will be a family drama. Bachchan may be producing but news has it that it was wife, Jaya, who sparked the idea in the first place. “The initiative of venturing into this kind of cinema was Jaya Bachchan’s idea. Saptapadii falls into the category of modern Gujarati films. The crux of the story is what happens when a wife decides to help an orphaned child who is a victim of terror and the husband doesn’t want her to get involved,” Hindustan Times reported a source stating.

The film called ‘Saptapadii” is set to release on 1st February, and will apparently be releasing worldwide.
