Amitabh Bachchan to launch Shekhar Ravjiani’s ‘Hanuman Chalisa’

Amitabh Bachchan will be attending the launch of Shekhar Ravjiani’s new single – his version of the religious ‘Hanuman Chalisa’.

The single will be his fourth after ‘Saazni’ and ‘Savli’ in Marathi and ‘Butterfly’ in Telugu. Ravjiani told a popular daily, ���My first two singles, Saazni and Savli in Marathi and Butterfly in Telugu, have done extremely well. Butterfly was the only non-film song playing on the radio charts and that opened my eyes to the fact that the Internet is a great platform to reach out to a wider audience. I didn�۪t know a word of Marathi or Telugu and in the process learnt two more languages too. For my fourth single I decided on the Hanuman Chalisa. It�۪s something I wanted to do, something my grandmother would have wanted me to do.”

On the Bollywood front, Ravjiani is composing the music for two big ventures ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Bang Bang’.
