Amitabh Bachchan to host ‘KBC 9’ on Sony TV?

Amitabh Bachchan is reportedly set to reprise his role as anchor of Sony Entertainment Television’s hit gameshow ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.

The blockbuster series, which would be in its ninth season, is expected to be launched on Bachchan’s birthday next month, according to DNA India.

A source told the publication, ���KBC 9 will be launched at a grand media event on Amitabh Bachchan�۪s birthday, October 11. Post-KBC 8 in 2014, AB Sr got busy with his film projects, Shamitabh, Piku and Wazir and then, debuted in Sony Entertainment Television�۪s fictional drama, Yudh, leaving him no time to shoot for the show in 2015 and most of 2016.�۝

However, producer-director Siddhartha Basu denied the news.
