Amitabh Bachchan to host Diwali party after two years
After being unable to celebrate a grand Diwali for the past two years due to family tragedy, the Bachchan household is back to hosting their annual Diwali party.
The party will be held after Lakshmi Puja on 27th October at Amitabh Bachchan’s Juhu residence, Filmfare reported. The guest list includes Ajay Devgn and Kajol, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, Aanand Pandit, Kabir Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and other familiar names.
There was speculation about the party being cancelled this year as well after Bachchan was recently admitted to the hospital. But he has recovered well and is back to work in good health. Previously, the party was called off due to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father passing away in 2017 and Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s father-in-law, Rajan Nanda passing away in 2018.
