Amitabh Bachchan to give full commitment towards films

Despite being such a huge big screen star, Amitabh Bachchan in also known for his stints on the small screen hosting the TV game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. However, with the last season having just finished shooting, the actor is now giving his full attention towards films.

With three projects currently in the pipeline, Bachchan took to his daily blog stating, “‘KBC’��wrapping up shall mean greater concentration on the films in hand with ‘Shamitabh’, ‘Piku’��and ‘Wazir’��the Vinod Chopra produced Bijoy Nambiar directed film on the floors now.”

‘Shamitabh’ will see the veteran actor sharing the screen with ‘Raanjhaana’ (2013) actor Dhanush and d̩but star Akshara Hassan.

Helmed by Shootjit Sircar, actress Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan will be seen with Bachchan in ‘Piku’, and ‘Wazir’ will have the fresh pairing of Farhan Akhtar and Aditi Rao Hyadri.

Bachchan went onto add, “All to be released in the year of 2015 and I await the verdict, as do many that are involved in it, when it shall reach the masses, the final answer, the final question, the final outcome.”

With his television show now finished, on the last day of the season having been shot, Bachchan expressed, “It is over ��_ this season of KBC is over ��_ tonight the final version of the Grand Finale done and dusted .. multiple performances, colleagues from the film fraternity, excited and co operative audience .. and the joy of interaction .. just such a complete end to the season ..��02 episodes for me that I have conducted ��_ 14 years of the game show and tonight 1040th contestant on the hot seat ..”

Despite not showing up on our small screens as much, it’s assuring to know that the actor isn’t giving up on the screens just as yet. Here’s hoping his dedication towards his next few films does his small screen absence some justice.
