As any good citizen who wants the best for their country, actor Amitabh Bachchan has spoken out in support for more hygiene regulations, including educating the young about it.

Through social networking site Twitter, Bachchan expressed, “Build that toilet at home, at the village, at the work place… AND build special ones for the WOMEN. Educate the children towards cleanliness… they shall follow what is taught at this age for life…,”

With this he also spoke about abolition segregated toilets for an Employer to the employee, “For god’s sake do not segregate toilets between the boss and the worker… let it be general for all… it will be healthier!!”

Bachchan has been involved with a number of organisations that promote the progression of India. After being the successfulUnicef Goodwill Ambassador for Polio Eradication, the actor recently got involved in PM Narendra Madi’s cleaning up India campaign ‘Swaach India’.

Advising people to do the same, the actor added, “Swach India! Do what you preach yourself… clean the place with your own hands than leave it for another to do… I DO !!”

Though the campaign is having a good response, it seems that there are some who don’t feel the need to get involved. However Bachchan seems to know how to deal with such people as he went onto say, “Criticism and cynicism shall accompany all good intent… but outcome shuts them up… I did that on many an occasion : Polio eg.”

With all this said, here’s hoping Bachchan’s very important messages come across to not only the residents of India but residents of the whole world.
