Amitabh Bachchan & Sidharth Malhotra opt out of ‘Aankhen 2’?

Back in February, Amitabh Bachchan and Sidharth Malhotra were confirmed to star in Abhinay Deo’s ‘Aankhen 2’, but have now reportedly opted out of the film.

According to Mid-Day, the change of heart comes after delays in the schedule being finalised, which has meant both Bachchan and Malhotra can no longer commit due to other projects, “In the past two months, there was little progress on the impending schedule. Since the film was taking longer than expected to go on floors, Bachchan saab and Sidharth could no longer put their other projects on hold and graciously bowed out of the movie. Sidharth will be tied up for the next few months with Mission Majnu and Thank God while Bachchan saab started shooting for Goodbye,” shared a source.

The original plan was for Malhotra, Akshaye Khanna and Sunil Grover to commence shooting for the film here in the UK and in parts of Europe in May, with Bachchan joining them later.

Now makers are looking to fill these roles and there is some speculation that Anil Kapoor and Rana Daggubati have been approached.
