Amitabh Bachchan praises Deepika Padukone

Over the years, Amitabh Bachchan has had the experience of working with actors and actresses across many generations. ��The actor, who is considered a legendary and iconic figure of Bollywood cinema, is filled with praise for his most recent co-star, Deepika Padukone.

Speaking to Mid Day, Bachchan said,��”Deepika the performer is a revelation to most of the film world now. ��Her rapid strides in the improved texture of her performances have surprised many. ��As a colleague, I can only admire her and wish her to continue her search for excellence in the years to come. ��Off screen she is lovable, endearing and as much a professional as professionals ought to be.”

It can be noted that Bachchan’s daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, had recently gone on record to say that she feels Padukone is her father’s best onscreen daughter.

Bachchan and Padukone have previously worked together in Prakash Jha’s ‘Aarakshan’ (2011) and have reunited for Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’. ��Also starring Irrfan Khan, ‘Piku’ will be releasing worldwide on 8th May.
