Amitabh Bachchan on supporting Indian athletes
Amitabh Bachchan has spoken out in support of Indian athletes for the amount they do to bring glory to the country.
In a post on his social media, Bachchan said people should attempt to understand an athlete before blaming them.
He said, ���Sport, sports people bring the greatest glory to a nation .. they need love and care and recognition and respect��_ COME ONN INDIA.”
He added, ���Sports builds the identity of a nation��_ And we shall build that��_ by next, to next Olympic, we shall be up there among the honours!!!�
Giving his take on Indian badminton singles player Saina Nehwal, Bachchan blogged, ���Saina Nehwal the world Champion in Badminton, drops by to the sets to meet up and what an honour it is��_ She is recovering from an injury to her knee and is doing well.�
���I saw Saina play her game at the Rio2016 and saw her losing to an adversary that she had beaten many times over��_But she was hampered by her injury to her knee��_ Could not bend, could not lunge, could not express speed on the court but she played despite the debilitating injury,�
Bachchan went onto say that it is morally incorrect to criticism the efforts of athletes due to the fact they are working extremely hard to represent their country.
